FaceMagic is a pretty cool AI face editor app I've been using for a while. It's basically a photo and video editing tool, but its main thing is using artificial intelligence to swap, animate, or modify faces in your media. You can make funny videos, create unique avatars, or just play around with different looks. I first downloaded it from the Google Play store a couple of years ago, and it's also available on the App Store. It's got a huge number of installs, well into the tens of millions, which shows how popular it is. The app itself is free to download and install, and you can start using many of its features right away without having to register an account, which I really like for quick edits. Of course, there are in-app purchases for premium effects and tools, and you'll see some ads in the free version, but that's pretty standard for this genre of app.

Using FaceMagic is straightforward. You just pick a photo or video from your gallery, choose an effect from their massive library – like face swap with a celebrity, turning yourself into a cartoon, or making a picture talk – and let the AI do its work. A good tip is to use clear, well-lit photos for the best results; the AI works much better with good source material. I also found that exploring the different categories daily can be fun, as they often add new filters and trends.

When I was looking for a face editor, I tried a few others like Reface and Doublicat. While those are fun too, I stuck with FaceMagic.
