You don't need to pay to download or install the app. To start shopping, you just log in with your existing Amazon account or create one, which is quick and free. While the app itself is free, it naturally features in-app purchases since you're buying products. You'll also see some ads and promotions for deals, but they're usually relevant to what you might like.

Using the Amazon Shopping app is pretty straightforward. I mainly use it to check prices on the go or to quickly reorder household stuff like detergent or coffee.
